On Friday (Oct 27), he personally presented the assistance to the schools, namely SK Abang Amin, SJK (C) Kai Chung, SMK Kai Chung, SK Bandar Bintangor, SK St Augustine, SMK Bandar Bintangor, SJK (C) Ming Tee, SK Gemuan, SJK (C) Ming Lu, SJK (C) Ming Ching, SJK (C) Ming Daik, SMK Meradong, SK Nanga Stras, SK Sg Mador, SK Ulu Stras and SK Ulu Binatang.
Huang, who is also the Repok assemblyman, said similar assistance will also be extended to recipients in the Sarikei parliamentary constituency.
“Due to time constraints, cash would be provided to purchase uniforms this year, while the uniforms would be distributed starting from the next year,” he said.
He added that parents of students who are voters in Sarikei parliamentary constituency will be eligible to receive the school uniform assistance annually, with each student receiving up to RM100 to purchase uniforms for next year’s school session.
“I hope that this support would alleviate the financial burden on parents and guardians in preparing their children’s educational necessities for the upcoming school session,” he said.
He also expressed his concern for education, especially in the Sarikei area, and affirmed his commitment to ensuring a favourable and conducive learning environment for students.
“I also encourage everyone, including parents and teachers, to collaborate in enhancing the overall performance of the schools, whether in academics or sports,” he said.
