SARIKEI: Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii visited RH Semangang Migih in Sungai Nyelong recently to assess the progress for its development projects and listen to the needs of the local residents.

This was done after he allocated funds for a land reclamation project of the 18-door longhouse.

“The project is now completed and is expected to improve the facilities and living standard of the longhouse residents,” he said.

He also expressed his commitment to continue improving the basic infrastructures in Repok area, including roads and drainage upgrades.

“These measures are aimed at ensuring all communities receive better facilities and safeguarding the welfare of the people,” he said.

Additionally, Tuai Rumah Semangang Migih, expressed his appreciation for Huang’s visit and the assistance provided.

Semangan stated that Huang’s active presence and concern for the welfare of the people were praised by the local community.

Also present during the visit were Penghulu Huang Tiong Kang and Kapitan Ling Dien Yong.
