SIBU: Repok assemblyman Dato’ Sri Huang Tiong Sii thanked Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg for approving funds for the development in Sarikei.
The allocations were for the upgrading of roads in the urban areas as well as roads to longhouses and providing basic amenities.
Roads in Sebanyak areas have also been upgraded, said Huang.
“The perfect road is very important for rural development. It will benefit and facilitate the movement of the people,” he told New Sarawak Tribune on Tuesday (June 30).
Kapitan Chieng Hei Chin has expressed his gratitude to Huang for providing the basic development in the areas which would improve the standard of living of the people.
