KUCHING: About 6000 guests attended the Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri Tabuan Melayu zone recently, making it the largest event being held in the Demak Laut constituency.
The programme involved 10 zones under Kpg Tabuan which were Kpg Tabuan Lot 1, Kpg Tabuan Lot 2, Kpg Tabuan Hilir 1, Kpg Tabuan Hilir 2, Kpg Tabuan Lamak 1, Kpg Tabuan Lamak 2, Kpg Tabuan SPC , Kpg Tabuan Tengah, Kpg Tabuan Dani and Kpg Tabuan Park.
In his opening speech, Demak Laut assemblyman Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni said that various development projects have been carried out throughout Tabuan Melayu zone, especially rural transformation project (RTP) projects involving the construction of recreational centres such as sepak takraw fields, futsal fields, and vending centres for the convenience of traders in Tabuan areas.
“The total cost for all the projects are worth RM2.65 million,” he said.
During the event, Hazland generously distributed duit raya to about 500 children who were present.
