MUKAH: Hundreds of people from all walks of life attended the Teacher’s Day celebration held at SK Kampung Tellian here on Tuesday.
The event, which was organised by SK Kampung Tellian Parent-Teacher Association (SK Kpg Tellian PTA), was officiated by a LINUS Officer from Mukah District Education Office, Boniface Michael Chabo.
Boniface who represented Mukah District Education Officer, Haji Bugin Ragoon, advised the teachers to always be prepared for changes and latest teaching system in line with the development that is taking place in the country.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate the school for being the best primary school in the district in the 2016 UPSR. I hope the school would continue to strive for excellence,” he said.
Also present were the SK Kpg Tellian headmaster, Bujang Hanafi, PTA Chairman, James Anthony, parents and the local community.
To further merriment the occasion, PTA SK Kpg Tellian also held a telematch involving the teachers and parents, futsal matches, mass aerobic exercise and lucky draws.
