KUCHING: The success of a pilot programme that focuses on nurturing good hygiene in school children known as Bersih Awal, Bersih Akhir (BaBa) means it will be improved and enhanced for better effects.
Welfare, Community Well-being, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah said the programme implemented at early education institutions (IPAKK) across the state has received overwhelming response since its introduction recently.
The programme focuses on cleanliness in and out of the school compound to inculcate and nurture good hygiene habits.
You are responsible for your own waste, she said this when receiving a courtesy call from the Association of Registered Childcare Providers Sarawak at her office in Baitulmakmur Building yesterday.
Following the positive response, the association has embarked on organising various fun-filled programmes for the rest of the year to further advocate the programme.
Among the programmes are BaBa Flash Mob 1.0 (May 1), O-Soji Competition (May 25), Zero Waste Campaign (July 7), Taska Day 2019 Cultural Food Fair & Go Green (G2) run 2019 (3km) on Sept 8, Hari Pengasuh and Pendidik (Nov 23-24).
