SIBU: Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) life president Yu Chin Luk is standing solidly behind the newly elected president Voon Lee Shan who said he was sacked from DAP before accepting the post.
“I trust and believe Voon that he is no longer a member of DAP,” said Yu when contacted.
Yu, who is also the party founder, said he wanted the matter to be put to rest.
State DAP organising secretary Violet Yong said the party had not sacked Voon, insisting he was still the chairman of DAP Batu Lintang branch.
She added DAP would be issuing Voon a show cause letter as under the DAP constitution, no members could hold dual membership.
