KUCHING: The International College of Advanced Technology Sarawak (i-CATS) here and Ludong University, a public university based in Zhifu district of Yantai, Shandong province, China are exploring opportunities for collaboration in areas such as Smart Agriculture, Student Exchange programme, articulation programmes and internship opportunities for students in China and Malaysia.
Recently, a delegation from Ludong University visited i-CATS at Jalan Stampin Timur here. i-CATS is a subsidiary of Pusat Pembangunan Kemahiran Sarawak (PPKS).
The delegation comprised Ludong University vice president Wu Jun, International Exchange & Cooperation Office (Hong Kong & Macau Affairs Office) director Professor Zhang Deqiang, Scientific Achievement Transfer Service Office (Local Affairs Service Office) director Li Zhida and International Exchange & Cooperation (Office Hong Kong & Macau Affairs Office), International Programmes Office chief Du Sen.
The visit was arranged by Councillor Jong Tien Kiong and Councillor Amy Tnay of Padawan Municipal Council.
On arrival at the college, the delegates were welcomed by PPKS executive director Hallman Sabri and i-CATS chief executive officer Mohamad Isham Fauzi.
Commenting on the visit, Hallman said, “This is in line with PPKS’ commitment to facilitate the advancement of Industry 4.0 and the Digital Economy in this region.”
