KUCHING: The International College of Advanced Technology Sarawak (i-CATS) will be holding a series of Special Info Days in Miri, Sibu and Bintulu in early November.
“Students who register for our Bachelor’s degree programmes during our Special Info Days in Miri, Sibu and Bintulu will receive an attractive discount on the total tuition fee,” said i-CATS Kuching chief executive officer Mohamad Isham Fauzi.
“Essentially, this will be a partial tuition fee waiver ranging from 10 to 15 percent. The registration fee of RM200 will also be waived,” he added.
Mohamad Isham also pointed out that during the Special Info Days in Miri, students who register for programmes offered by i-CATS Miri Campus will receive an attractive tuition fee rebate – Pearson BTEC Higher National Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (RM2,000 tuition fee rebate) and other Diploma programmes (RM1,000 tuition fee rebate).
He said that the Special Info Days will be held at The Imperial Mall, Old Wing, Booth C4 (Nov 2-3), Wisma Sanyan (Nov 1, 2 & 3), and Park City Shopping Mall, Booth G2 (Nov 9-10).
On the upcoming Special Info Days, he said, “We have received numerous requests from secondary school-leavers and their parents to hold our Special Info Days, including ‘On-the-Spot Course Counselling and Registration’ at major cities and towns across Sarawak.
“Students – especially those who have completed STPM and diploma holders – their parents and the general public are invited to visit the booths during the aforementioned dates from 10am to 10pm,” he urged.
i-CATS Kuching offers two Bachelor’s degree programmes in collaboration with Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL), namely the Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) in E-Commerce and Bachelor of Software Engineering (Hons).
These three-year Bachelor’s degree programmes can be completed at the i-CATS Kuching Campus located at Jalan Stampin Timur here. This will result in considerable cost savings, especially on travel and living costs.
With regards to financial assistance, Mohamad Isham remarked that i-CATS would provide assistance to students in their application(s) for study loans from the Sarawak Foundation (Yayasan Sarawak). Students who meet the prescribed requirements will be offered a scholarship loan which covers the course fees and monthly living allowance (RM400 per month).
