KUCHING: i-CATS University College will be holding a Special Info, Scholarship and Registration series from July 3 to Aug 28.
The series takes place online via Facebook Live, Google Meet and Zoom.
“Our team members comprising deans of the various faculties and heads of department will be sharing on the academic programmes offered at i-CATS, student support services, as well as various forms of financial assistance,” said i-CATS vice-chancellor Mohamad Isham Fauzi.
“With the programmes offered, our students will be trained to thrive in an ever-changing and vibrant global economy, and this will be of utmost importance in realising their academic and life goals.”
A partial tuition fee waiver—20 per cent of the first year’s tuition fee—is one of the varsity’s efforts to help lessen the financial burden of many families affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Students who register for our diploma and bachelor’s degree programmes during the event will receive an attractive discount on their first year’s tuition fee.”
He encouraged school-leavers with five credits in their SPM/SPMV to take up the zero-tuition fee offer and noted that the terms and conditions would be further discussed during the event.
“Our programmes also span across a wide range of disciplines such as Accounting and Business, Engineering, Hospitality and Tourism, Plantation Management, and Software Engineering.”
In collaboration with Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL), registration is ongoing until July 23 for the bachelor’s degree programmes such as Bachelor of Business Administration in E-Commerce and Bachelor of Software Engineering.
Similarly, registration for August intake is still ongoing for the Diploma, Foundation, and Bachelor in Tourism and Hospitality programmes.
I-CATS also assists students in their applications for study loans from the National Higher Education Fund Corporation or Yayasan Sarawak, with students under the latter who meet the standards being granted a scholarship-loan which covers both the course fees and monthly living allowance.
