KUCHING: Satok assemblyman Datuk Ibrahim Baki has expressed his highest appreciation to the entire party machinery and voters who had given Gabungan Parti Sarawak their undivided support and led to his big victory in the recently concluded 12th Sarawak state election.
The Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) sub-branch of Kampung No 5 here held a dinner at Restoran Barong Tinuk as a symbol of gratitude for Ibrahim’s victory in the election. PBB is a component party of GPS.
As shared on the Media Satok Facebook page on Saturday (Jan 8), the dinner on Friday (Jan 7) began with a prayer recitation by Osman Kader, Imam of Kampung No 5’s Surau Nurul Islam.
This was followed by opening remarks delivered by Salbiah Muhi, the sub-branch’s Women chief. There were also karaoke sessions and a lucky draw.
Before the state election, the Satok seat was held by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, who is now the Gedong assemblyman.
