KUCHING: Eleven keynote speakers will be featured during the two-day International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak (IDECS) at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) which kicked off today.

Conference chairperson Datuk Dr Sabariah Putit said one of the speakers is SIEMENS chairman Jim Hagemann Snabe, whose topic is on environmental and energy sustainability.

“With 25 years of experience in the IT industry, Jim is focused on leadership and innovation, digitalisation and societal progress.

“In his capacity as a global business leader, Jim is involved in a number of activities on societal progress and the role of business in society,” she said during the launching of the conference today.

Other keynote speakers are former Bogotá mayor Enrique Peñalosa and Harvard Business School associate professor Dennis Campbell.

Other topics to be featured at the event include innovation, digital transformation, smart and sustainable class, big data analytics, green transport, agriculture sustainability, smart and inclusive communities, and creative industries.
