DALAT: The State Information Department’s visit at Dalat District through the People’s Love Programme (MEKAR) has assisted in the processing of identity card documents in the area.
Minister of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah said she was thankful to the MEKAR visit to Dalat to help in easing the identity card’s documentation which was the objective of the programme.
“I am confident with the new Home Affairs Ministry with regards to speeding up the release of citizenship applications,” she said
“Besides providing the documentation services, the programme also offers new identity card registration, birth certificate registration and death registration,” she added.
Meanwhile, a Sarawak Mobile Court which goes to the field was also the main attraction for the local folks who want to make legal inquiries from the Legal Aid Bureau.
The two-day programme in Dalat started on Feb 22 -23 and will proceed to other districts that have been identified in Sarawak.
