KUCHING: The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) Sarawak branch paid a courtesy visit to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg on Nov 14.
The delegation, led by IEM Sarawak Chairperson Ir Stephanie Sim, extended an invitation to Abang Johari to attend the IEM Sarawak Annual Dinner 2024, scheduled for Nov 24 at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK).
This year’s theme, “Building Resilience through Climate Action”, highlights the vital role engineers play in addressing the global climate crisis.
The theme aligns with Sarawak’s ongoing efforts to enhance resilience and sustainability, emphasising the importance of engineering solutions in tackling environmental challenges.
It is understood that the event will host approximately 1,400 guests, including industry leaders, policymakers, academics, and students.
