KUCHING: The construction of the Malaysian Islamic Training Institute (ILIM) Phase 2, a project covering 10.83 hectares of land in Lawas, is expected to be completed by July 2026.
Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan was informed about this during a visit from the Malaysian Islamic Training Institute (ILIM) at his office at Wisma Sumber Alam on Thursday.
The visit, led by ILIM senior director Nor Safina and Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) Sarawak director Hamdan Jarie, aimed to update on the progress of ILIM Phase 2.
When completed, it will boast several facilities. These include an auditorium, dormitory blocks for both males and females, a dining hall, a sports court, living quarters, and a prayer hall.
