MIRI: The Wildlife Crime Bureau under the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) together with the 12th Battalion of the General Operations Force (GOF) has seized illicit cigarettes and beer in two separate operations here last Monday.
Miri Police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu, said, in a statement, eight individuals, aged between 20 and 45, including three foreigners were detained to facilitate police investigations on the case.
The operations were carried out at around 3.30 pm at two separate premises here.
The case is being investigated under Section 135 (1)(d) of the Customs Act 1967.
