KUCHING: Computer refurbishing companyIMIKA Sdn Bhd has opened its 57th branch in Serian and response from the public on its first day of operations was encouraging.
“Our store setup is exclusive and conducive for customers. If there is a customer who wants to repair a laptop or PC, we are more than happy to assist,” said IMIKA area manager Harrizuri Haikal.
“Likewise, if they want to trade in their laptop or PC, they can do so with us.”
IMIKA offers a two-year warranty on each laptop, he said, adding the Rahmah laptop package is also available for all customers.
“With every laptop purchase, the customer can choose a free printer or smartphone.
“Even though we are spreading our wings to Borneo, our prices are the same as in Peninsular Malaysia. This is because our founder, Datuk Abdul Rahim, understands that every pulse and the standard of life in Borneo is not the same in Peninsular Malaysia.”
In a statement Harrizuri said the company was founded in Ipoh, Perak back in 2010 with the target to sell refurbished computers.
He said the company began to grow fast in 2022, expanding the market in Peninsular Malaysia from nine to 29 branches due to requests from the local community.
“We are committed to opening at least 100 branches because we want to provide laptop services at affordable prices. We understand that devices like laptops are no longer an item of desire, it has become a necessity and an obligation for a family to own,” he added.
