KUCHING: An Indonesian man was arrested for suspected burglary in a house at Jalan Batu Kawa on Dec 13.
Padawan police chief, Supt Aidil Bolhassan said the suspect – identified as Ringgo, 24 from Singkawang, Indonesia – was arrested in Moyan Square here on Tuesday.
“On Dec 13, a victim filed a police report after finding his car parked outside of his house has been ransacked by unknown persons.
“The victim suffered losses estimated at RM500 – consisting of RM180 cash, a wrist watch, Maybank and BSN debit cards,” he said in the statement.
He said e said the suspect had admitted to stealing the items during the burglary. Police seized three pairs of shoes of various brands and a wrist watch during the arrest.
“It was also found that the suspect had entered the state via Tebedu on March 23 and did not return to his hometown after his permit expired,” Aidil said.
