LUNDU: Families of nine houses in the constituency here will have improved living conditions as their houses are undergoing renovation through the Sarawak House Repair for the Poor Project (PPRMS).

Tanjong Datu assemblyman Azizul Annuar Adenan said out of 39 applications received, the nine houses have been approved for Phase 2 of the PPRMS for the year 2022, and which are being renovated in Lundu, Sampadi, and Sematan areas.

Recently, Azizul also personally inspected all the houses selected for the renovation.

In the Lundu Zone, among the beneficiaries for the PPRMS is Tiamah Johari in Kampung Stunggang Melayu Lama, where houses had the walls, floors and windows repaired.

Meanwhile, Patimah@Kartini Sidi’s house in Kampung Stunggang Melayu Baru is undergoing renovations for the roof, walls, living room and kitchen.

Within the same zone, other beneficiaries of the PPRMS are Gayar Agas in Kampung Sileng Dayak for roof refurbishment, Lee Boon Tee in Kampung Tabuan/Sekambal Cina for wall, floor, and corridor enhancements, and Mohamad Lia in Kampung Sekambal for roof repair.

In the Sampadi Zone, the beneficiaries include Nuli Balai in Kampung Rayu Iban, whose house received roof repairs, and Zamri Ambi’s house which required wall and window repairs.

As for the Sematan Zone, Mordah Ros in Kampung Tanah Hitam 1 received assistance for roof restoration and painting of the house, while Hinda Luncai in Kampung Pueh also received similar assistance.
