SIBU: The synthetic field in Permai Jaya will see additional improvements to enhance the comfort of football players.
Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation, and Talent Development, Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee, announced plans to allocate RM200,000 for the construction of a dressing room and toilet facilities at the field.
During the soft launch of the synthetic field, Dr Annuar expressed satisfaction with the positive response from the community.
The synthetic field hosted its inaugural football tournament, with 16 teams competing in four groups. Matches are scheduled to continue until October, providing an exciting platform for local football enthusiasts.
All reservation slots have been fully booked until the end of the month, indicating the enthusiastic use of the field. The field’s management will soon be digitalised to streamline bookings and payments.
Dr Annuar also revealed future plans to expand the synthetic field, including the installation of audience seats in stages, among other facilities.
“I hope this synthetic field will be managed well and professionally by those who are incharge, so that it can benefit the community in Sibu,” added Annuar.
Dr Annuar officiated the first match at the Permai Jaya Synthetic Field and posed for a group photo with the football players.
