Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah expressed his excitement at the event during the BMFL press conference held at Pullman Hotel yesterday.

He said that Sarawak is coming alive again with many events as the state is moving forward from the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I am happy that another exciting event, the first-ever Borneo Music Festival Live 2022 is set to take place in Kuching, Sarawak.

“I was told that the event was originally scheduled for 2020 but the pandemic struck. It is inspiring that despite all the challenges in the last two years, the organiser stayed the course, and the event is finally happening very soon in September,” Karim said.

Festival attendees can anticipate performances by Malaysian DJs such as Alexis Grace, Ice Cream, Chaca, MYVAX, Paul, and MC Vibe as well as a superb lineup of local musicians including At Adau, Tuku ‘Kame’, Buloh Berkocak, and singers Rynn Lim, Thomas Jack and Priscilla Abby.
