MIRI: The Sarawak Influencer Council (SIC) and JCI Riam’s inaugural networking event titled “How To Start A Business Leveraging TikTok”, was a resounding success.

The event, held at Curtin University Malaysia here recently, brought together a diverse audience including business owners, influencers, students, and industry professionals.

The event was a platform to emphasise the importance of strategic collaborations and ethical practices in marketing, underlining the ever-growing significance of TikTok in the business landscape.

Organising chairperson Jarone Choo expressed delight in facilitating dialogue and knowledge-sharing among attendees.

SIC was honoured to host Mohd Zulkifli Hussain, General Manager of K-Colly Inspiring Beauty, who shared valuable insights into leveraging TikTok for business expansion, including achieving daily sales of up to 1 million.

Distinguished guests, including Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew, graced the occasion, further highlighting TikTok’s importance in marketing and brand development.

SIC, founded by Jeremy Yaw, aims to foster a dynamic influencer community while showcasing Sarawak’s cultural richness and economic potential through mentorship programmes, educational workshops, and partnerships.

Despite being a young association, SIC has already made significant strides in supporting hundreds of TikTok influencers across Malaysia through education and mentorship.
