MIRI: The Sarawak State Library is collaborating with Miri Hospital Blood Bank in organising its quarterly blood donation drive on August 17 held at Pustaka Miri foyer from 9 am to 12.30 pm.
As part of this initiative, the first 50 donors who successfully contribute blood will receive a 5kg bag of Ratu Huma rice along with snacks as a token of appreciation for their generous act.
Pustaka Miri corporate management officer, Shirley Szebah Mambai, emphasised the significance of blood donation stating, “Donating blood gives a lot of health benefits to the blood donors. Additionally, it also fosters a sense of social responsibility and raises awareness about the importance of donating blood to save lives.”
This drive is part of a series of blood donation campaigns organised by Pustaka Miri. The final campaign for 2024 is scheduled for November 18.
