KUCHING: Pustaka is delighted to announce the opening of its newly completed children’s playground at Pustaka Park, crafted to provide a secure, engaging, and accessible play area for children of all abilities.
In October 2022, Pustaka engaged the Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) as the project implementer, harnessing their expertise in timber for designing and maintaining playground equipment. The new playground showcases wood and rubber mats with artificial turf to enhance inclusivity and safety. Access paths and covered bolts and nuts ensure a safe play environment for children, including those with special needs.
The playground features four distinct play areas, each tailored to offer unique and engaging experiences for young adventurers:
The Adventurer: Geared towards children aged 6 to 12, this area includes Monkey Bars, Climbing Poles, and Swings, ideal for active play and exploration.
Tree House: Tucked between two trees, this playground beckons children aged 6 to 12 to climb, explore hide-and-seek spots, and enjoy slides and a swing bridge. The Tree House was inaugurated by members of the Pustaka Park Advisory Committee, Dr. Rita Manurung and Datuk Lo Khere Chiang, in the presence of the CEO of Pustaka and Assistant General Manager of STIDC.
The Wanderer: Tailored for younger children aged 4 to 6, this area features a Playhouse Junior and a Cross Bridge, offering a delightful and age-appropriate play experience.
The Explorer: Catering to children aged 6 to 12, this site boasts a Swing Log Bridge, a Slide, and Swings, providing a range of fun and adventurous activities.
Strategically positioned around the Pustaka Lake area, each playground site guarantees a diverse and enjoyable experience, ensuring that all young visitors can find something to delight in.
