EQUAL access to opportunities in the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu’s (PBB) leadership contributes significantly to Sarawak’s harmony and political stability.
Former deputy chief minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Alfred Jabu Numpang was confident of Sarawak’s continued development and progress with PBB being the backbone of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) state government.
He said the no-contest for the top leadership positions was proof of PBB’s strong unity and solidarity throughout the years.
“The PBB 15th Triennial General Meeting (TGM) is a good avenue for all to come together. Top and grassroots leaders have vouched strong support to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg to continue leading the party and the state government.
“And I hope the component parties in GPS would also continue to have strong support for our Premier. The GPS state government is very inclusive in its policies without leaving anyone behind,” he said.
Following this, he pointed out that PBB and GPS had been very steadfast and loyal in defending the sovereignty and rights of Sarawak and its people.
He said the veterans of PBB, including himself, were ever ready to help and assist the party.
“PBB is the care of stability, harmony, and peace in our beloved Sarawak. Therefore, we have high hopes Sarawak will move forward in a steadfast manner.
“This is because of the principles pioneered by our Premier who is very visionary for exponential growth in the future,” he said.
