KUCHING: A total of 56 Institut Keusahawanan Negara Berhad (INSKEN) entrepreneurs recorded a sales revenue of RM437,000 through the Sarawak Edition of INSKEN Bumiputera Business Guidance Programme (IBBC) 2022 Edition.
Caretaker Deputy Minister of Sports, Youth and Entrepreneur Development Dr Ripin Lamat said that more than half of the participants managed to increase business sales from 20 percent to over 100 percent.
“In fact, all participants benefited not only in the form of increased sales but also emotional guidance and moral support that helped participants survive difficult situations.
“The result of the collaboration between INSKEN and Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) has proven to have a positive effect in improving the ability and sustainability of entrepreneurs’ businesses,” he said at the 2022 Sarawak Edition of INSKEN Mentoring Programme graduation ceremony at a leading hotel here, on Wednesday.
At the same time, Ripin urged entrepreneurs to be committed and confident in developing their businesses creatively, competitively and acquire business knowledge.
He said this will ensure business continuity, especially in today’s increasingly challenging and competitive market.
According to INSKEN’s media statement, the entrepreneurs involved are in the cafe and restaurant industry as well as food and beverage supermarket sales.
Meanwhile, the IBBC programme is an entrepreneurial development guidance programme to increase businesses according to relevant industries.
The programme ran for four months to provide guidance to entrepreneurs to boost business performance in addition to learning more effective business management techniques.
INSKEN is an agency under the purview of the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDAC).
