MIRI: Telang Usan incumbent assemblyman Dennis Ngau said he is ready to defend the seat in the upcoming state election despite the prospect of a possible multi-cornered fight.
“We have been working hard since the first day until now, and we have done our part throughout. It is not that we will only start being busy when the election has been called.
“We believe that the people can see what the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) has been doing all this while,” he said yesterday (Oct 31).
Earlier he attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Temenggong Elizabeth Deng’s new longhouse in Long Laput, Baram which was officiated by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.
Dennis pointed out that there were various developments taking place from one village to another in his constituency.
He said Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg’s visits to the constituency showed how attentive he was to the people.
“We will continue to encourage the people to stand behind our chief minister because it is proven that he has brought development to the whole of Sarawak, not just in our constituency alone,” he added.
