KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud and wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Ragad Kurdi Taib, received a farewell courtesy visit by the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia, Yonny Tri Prayitno, at his residence in Demak Jaya here on Friday (Sept 23).
During the meeting, Yonny expressed his gratitude to Taib and the state government for enhancing better relations between Sarawak and Indonesia, particularly with Kalimantan.
He also hoped that the positive relationship would continue, especially in terms of economic development, trade and tourism.
Yonny began serving as the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Sarawak on August 10, 2018, and will return to Indonesia on October 1.
He was accompanied during the visit by his wife, Nani Prayitno.
