KUCHING: An Indonesian man was fined RM1,500 or two months’ imprisonment by the Magistrate’s Court today for breaking into a house at Taman Hui Sing here.

Tobi Rofiul Muiz, 25, from Karawang, Indonesia, pleaded guilty to the charge under Section 447 of the Penal Code before Magistrate Syarifah Fatimah Azura Wan Ali.

According to the charge, he committed the offence at Taman Hui Sing, at about 6.30pm on Jan 5.

Based on the facts of the case, at the time of the incident, an unknown man had trespassed into the complainant’s house without permission.

The complainant asked the accused why he entered his house but the accused tried to run away. He was arrested on the same day following a police report lodged by the house-owner.
