MIRI: A 22-year-old Indonesian man losses more than RM2,000 and sustained injury on the back of his head after he was robbed by a stranger inside a public toilet here last Tuesday evening.
Prior to the incident, the victim and his brother had gone to the city to withdraw some money.
It was reported that the incident happened in a public toilet at Jalan Hight Street here at 6.30pm. After the man had withdrawn money from a bank he then went to a public toilet to ease himself.
While the man was inside the toilet, a stranger accosted him and pushed him down before he was kicked on the head. The suspect then fled the scene after robbing the man of RM2,600, a handphone, a work permit and passport belonging to the victim. The robbery victim has lodged a report at the Miri Central Police station.
