After Putri Ariana’s stunning journey to the semi-finals of America Got Talent-18 (AGT-18), another Indonesian artist, Cakra Khan, has captured the judges’ hearts with four “Yes” votes.
A month ago, 18-year-old visually impaired singer, Putri Ariana from Riau, Indonesia, became an internet sensation after earning the coveted Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell during her AGT audition.
This week, the spotlight shifted to the renowned Indonesian singer, Cakra Khan, as he wowed the audience and judges alike on AGT-18, receiving four resounding “Yes” votes from Howie Mandel, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara. Terry Crews hosted the show with his usual flair.
During his audition last Tuesday, Cakra initially presented the soulful ballad “Make It Rain,” but upon Simon’s request to explore his vocal versatility, he fearlessly performed “No Woman, No Cry.”
Notably, Putri Ariana’s AGT performance video gained unprecedented popularity, amassing an impressive 46 million views on YouTube, securing her spot in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, Cakra’s audition video has garnered nearly 2.6 million views since last Tuesday, signaling his growing fan base.
As he advanced to the next round of the AGT competition, Cakra took to Facebook to express his heartfelt gratitude: “Bismillah, good morning, everyone. I just want to say thank you for all the prayers and support. Alhamdulillah, I made it to the next round in America’s Got Talent. Your continued prayers are appreciated, and please feel free to share your comments on this video.”
