KUCHING: Two Indonesians — a 14-year-old girl and an 18-year-old woman — were arrested for entering Sarawak without valid documents.
Bau police chief DSP Poge Nyaon said police were acting on information received on Tuesday whereby they raided a house belonging to a “Mr Jo” who was harbouring illegal immigrants there.
He said when they arrived at the house at 5.50pm, Jo was not in but his wife was. They then checked the house and found the two Indonesians there.
Both were brought back to the police station and the case will be transferred to the Immigration Department.
On the same day, police arrested a man who came to their station. The 45-year-old man from Taman Siniawan was detained for harbouring the two Indonesians.
