MUKAH: Calls for a new indoor stadium here have grown louder, with Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine highlighting the pressing need for the facility to accommodate the active sports community in the area.

“The past decade has witnessed a surge in sports activities organised by clubs and associations in here.
“This necessitates a dedicated indoor stadium to provide proper facilities for all age groups, especially our children,” he said at the Opening Ceremony of Tunas Mukah Taekwon-Do Club Training Centre yesterday.

Royston said that he had concrete plans for the construction of a new stadium, which would also boast a swimming pool.

He pledged to continue advocating for this project at future State Legislative Assembly (DUN) meetings to ensure its realisation for the benefit of the Mukah community.

On Tunas Mukah Taekwon-Do Club, Royston commended the organisation for its dedication in nurturing talents and sending participants to national-level tournaments.

“The unwavering determination of club members, coaches, and parents is truly commendable in keeping taekwondo alive and thriving in Mukah.
