KUCHING: Employees in the industrial sector are finally getting their vaccine jabs.

The Covid-19 Sinovac vaccine was administered to recipients at the Taiyo Yuden, Dewan Matahari industrial vaccination centre (PPVI), on Friday (June 25).

The Information Department (JaPen) conducted a ground check at the PPVI and found that the process ran smoothly.

One of the recipients, Luqman Hakim Nadziri@Ismail told JaPen that he was thankful to the government for priortising vaccination for industrial workers.

Production operator Maria Esther Ismail said she was delighted to receive her first dose of the vaccine.

“I had my vaccine appointment date on June 28 in the MySejahtera app, but the date was changed to June 25.”

She admitted that before this, she was scared and was always vigilant, especially when going out and coming home after work.

After receiving her jab, she said she now felt more at ease but would continue to practise health safety guidelines.
