KUCHING: Anyone with information about the stolen belian planks of the Pustaka Negeri Sarawak bridge should notify the local authorities so that the culprits can be caught.
The Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) said the bridge, which was previously restored in December last year, has been damaged by thieves.
A police report has been lodged and the route will be temporarily closed until repair works on the bridge have completed.
“The repair works on the bridge will be carried out soon by replacing the missing belian planks with a culvert,” DBKU said.
Those with information can contact DBKU’s 24-hour Service Centre (082-446644) or leave a message on its WhatsApp (016-8864466).
