KUCHING: The Information Department is busy helping the Malaysian government to disseminate important information to the public through its “Info on Wheels” programme.
Among the latest pamphlets it is distributing are those explaining the Wuhan Coronavirus (2019- nCov), the Federal 2020 Budget, PeKa B40, a healthcare scheme is introduced to address the increasing prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) among the low income groups in the country and e-Tunai Rakyat, an initiative by the Malaysian government to promote the usage of e-wallets.
Information officers have conducted a series of ‘Info on Wheels’ programmes statewide. Places they have visited included the Mukah market, Wisma Persekutuan Miri, Matu, Bau, as well as longhouses in Ulu Layar, Betong.
