LAWAS: Infrastructure development is crucial as a catalyst for economic advancement.

In stating this, Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said the construction of infrastructure and amenities including roads and jetties is important to create long-term economic opportunities.

“There are plans to build a resort and golf course in the Lawas area, aimed at enhancing its appeal as a tourist destination and providing local employment and business opportunities.

“We will build a resort and a golf course in this location. Such developments are vital as they create jobs and business opportunities, boosting the local economy,” he said.

He said this during the Aidiladha thanksgiving celebration at Darul Iman Mosque in Kampung Punang recently.

Awang Tengah, who is also the International Trade, Industry, and Investment Minister said it is also important to focus on the services sector and skills enhancement.

On another note, he urged the community, especially the youth, to continuously improve their skills to remain relevant in a rapidly evolving world.

“The world is changing rapidly, and to stay engaged, we must enhance our skills, particularly for our children.
