BINTANGOR: A 500-metre-long and 3-metre-wide road has been paved in Rh Ingol Sawing, Batu 7, Sg Mador Village to improve connectivity and accessibility for residents in the area.

The initiative, spearheaded by Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii, who is the Sarikei MP and Repok assemblyman, underscores the government’s commitment to rural development.

Allocating funds from the federal government, Huang prioritised maintenance work on the longhouse following a recent visit to the community.

“The Sarikei Service Center team, led by Gung Chiu Kion, played a vital role in conducting a thorough survey visit to assess the needs of the community on behalf of Huang.

“Collaborating closely with Ingol’s village chief and the local community, the survey aimed to ensure that the infrastructure development aligns with the requirements and aspirations of the residents,” it said in a press release today.

Expressing optimism about the project’s impact, Huang also noted the importance of providing residents with a safer and more comfortable living environment.
