KUCHING: The primary goal of the 26th META and the UiTM Academic Conference 2024, which convened approximately 160 dedicated attendees, was to underscore a collective commitment to identifying critical issues, exploring innovative solutions, and catalysing transformative change within their respective fields.

This event, held today (October 23), brought together academic leaders such as Deputy Rectors, Deputy Deans, Assistant Rectors, Heads of Studies, and Assistant Registrars from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM).

Prof Datin Dr Suzana Sulaiman, UiTM’s deputy vice-chancellor (academic and international), highlighted the programme’s importance as a platform to challenge conventions, celebrate creativity, and inspire excellence.

She remarked, “The synergy of our expertise and collective experience enriches our perspectives and serves as a catalyst for collaborations that will shape the future of education.”

In her address at the Opening Ceremony, Prof Suzana emphasized the essential nature of interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing local and global educational agendas.

She stated, “Having integrity and trustworthiness forms the foundation of Education 5.0@UiTM. We are committed to achieving Education 5.0@UiTM and UNESCO’s Education 2030 agenda.”
