SARIKEI: Meluan assemblyman Rolland Duat Jubin hoped that agriculture related departments will continue to intensify its effort in introducing modern agricultural technology to rural farmers, including those in his constituency.
He said Meluan constituency is not only famous for its pepper products but also considered to be one of the successful agricultural areas.
“The Agriculture Community Outreach Programme (AGRICOP) is one of the programmes implemented by the Sarawak government to enhance the ties between the farmer communities in rural areas,” he was quoted as saying in a news report from the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS).
Duat also commended efforts made by the Sarikei Division Agriculture Department for involving all agriculture related agencies to gather and give guidance pertaining to their respective agencies.
