KUCHING: A total of 242 swimmers from 33 primary schools from here and Kota Samarahan divisions will take part in Power Aquatics Swimming Club (PASC) 4th Inter-Primary School Swimming Competition, to be held at Pandelela Rinong Aquatic Centre on April 7 from 8am to 5pm.
Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian will declare open the event, while the Education, Science and Technological Research Minister Datuk Seri Michael Manyin, who will be representing the Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg will close it.
Trophies await the ‘Best Boy’ and ‘Best Girl’ teams and also the top swimmers in each age-group.
Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded for individual and team events (relay) to be competed over 50 metres to 100m distances in categories of freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly, along with a certificate of participation for all swimmers.
