KUCHING: Thirteen interns from New Sarawak Tribune and Suara Sarawak have the opportunity to tour TVS at its headquarters, Cityone Megamall here yesterday.

The courtesy visit was organised jointly by New Sarawak Tribune and Suara Sarawak alongside TVS to provide interns with valuable insights into the inner workings of the state’s media industry.

During the visit, the interns were given a tour of the facilities in TVS, the state owned television station operated by Sarawak Media Group (SMG),  followed by a sharing session with TVS news anchors, journalists, and production staff.

During the visit, TVS chief executive officer Rizal Zulkapli said the company believed that interns and fresh graduates are essential in developing the creative industry in Sarawak.

“As a company with vision and mission to develop the creative industry, it is crucial to equip interns with necessary skills for them to make valuable contribution to the industry later.

“As such, TVS operates with an open-door policy that welcomes interns from all backgrounds to apply for positions.

Commenting further, he said that TVS strived to accommodate interns with their own needs and aspirations, allowing them to work on different projects under supervision to let them learn as much as they could.
