KUCHING: The Minister of Education, Innovation, and Talent Development, Datuk Seri Roland Sagah Wee Inn, received a courtesy visit from Orla Tunney, the Ambassador of Ireland to Malaysia, today (Sept 5).

The meeting, held at the LCDA Tower here, focused on exploring potential cooperation between the Sarawak Government and the Government of Ireland.

During the one-hour discussion, topics such as education, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), and human capital development in Sarawak were addressed.

After the meeting, Orla is scheduled to visit the Natural History Museum and Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS).

Orla arrived in Kuching on Wednesday for a three-day official working visit.

She landed at the Kuching International Airport (KIA) at 4 p.m. and was welcomed by the Chairman of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) Board of Directors, Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Sulong Matjeraie, and the Vice-Chancellor of UNIMAS, Professor Dr Ahmad Hata Rasit.

On Friday, she is scheduled to meet with the Director of the Sarawak Foundation, Mersal Abang Rosli at Wisma Adenan.

She will then return to Kuala Lumpur on a commercial flight at 4.35 pm.
