MUKAH: The Sarawak Department of Islamic Religion (JAIS) is organising the Islamic Youth Carnival 2024 in conjunction with the 30th anniversary of the JAIS Pearl Jubilee at Setia Raja Mukah Mosque, from Feb 14 to 18.
According to a statement from the Mukah Division Islamic Religion Office, a range of activities and competitions will be held throughout the carnival, including the Masjid Love Youth Talk, Al-Fatih Model Youth Forum, Career and Education Exhibition, Khat Workshop and Competition, Sales Stall, Al-Fatihah Clinic, Sarawak Islamic Youth Programme 2.0, Ashabul Kahfi Youth Tausiyah-Ibrah, Community-Friendly Harmony Cycling, and People’s Sports.
Competitions such as Creative Content Competition – TikTok, Archery Competition, Batu Seremban Competition, Islamic Content Colouring Competition, E-Sport Competition (Mobile Legend), Azan Competition, Dam Aji Competition, Berzanji Competition, and Congkak Competition will also be held.
Additionally, Beach Cleaning activities at the Kaul Mukah Festival Site through the Department’s Corporate Social Responsibility Programme (CSR) will be conducted.
The highlight and closing of the carnival, the Bright Night of Islamic Arts, will take place on Feb 18. The public are invited to participate in and enliven this event.
