KUCHING: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sarawak’s claim that there are members of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) wanting to join PKR is just a propaganda.

Santubong MP Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar (pic) said  Sarawakians must not be fooled by those in PH, but should stay with GPS and help make Sarawak great.

“We have great leaders who know what is good for Sarawak. The PH leaders can come and say what they want. We know they cannot be trusted,” he said.

He said all of the PH components are cracking up and waiting for internal implosion. There are mass resignations from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) in the Peninsula and there are rumours that the party is not even able to hold meetings for lack of quorum.

“The Malays in Malaya are avoiding Bersatu, so it seems, yet Bersatu took in several jumping MPs from Umno. Perhaps, people just do not enjoy the company of jumpers whose principle of struggle is seemingly for personal glorification,” he said.

On PKR, he said the party is splitting in the centre because of the rivalry between its president and deputy president over who is to become the next Prime Minister.

He said the country’s economy is plummeting, cost of living is skyrocketing, shares in the stock exchange are sliding down, prices of goods are going up, the value of ringgit against dollar is sliding downward, investors are shunning the country, the country’s assets are sold and yet the debts are increasing. The country is not undergoing transformation but is in serious regression.

“I really cannot imagine anyone wanting to join Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah), the party leadership made up of splinters from PAS who at one time swore all others were bad except themselves.

“You mention the name of the president of Amanah. People would just cringe, “Oh, my God”, unless you want to take over the leadership to give credibility to the party,” he said.

Wan Junaidi said for anyone from the GPS, who are basically Bumiputeras of Sarawak, wanting to join DAP is a betrayal of the very struggle that the GPS stands for.

“DAP is every bit a Peninsula party and is top-heavy in their leadership. DAP Sarawak

leaders are only the mouthpieces of the central leadership in Malaya. They are no longer fighting for the interests of Sarawak,” he said.

On the Ministry of Finance (MoF) under the DAP administration, he said there seemed to be only one solution to the country’s economic problem — selling assets. He said it was an understatement to say everything was well in PH.

“The cabinet ministers and deputy ministers are either non-performing or busy making fools of themselves with many weird announcements, statements and even more promises they cannot fulfil.”
