KUCHING: The Rocket Inter-Team Badminton Tournament drew to a close today, (Nov 5), at the Stapok Badminton Court here, with J.PRO Badminton Academy being crowned the champions.

The victory earned J.PRO Badminton Academy a cash prize of RM5,000, as well as a trophy, medals, and gift vouchers from Badminton World.

The final match was tightly contested, with One Seven One Seven Enterprise claiming the first runner-up spot and a cash prize of RM3,000.

CKBC – MAXGLOW and the Sarawak Bumiputra Badminton Association (PBBS) were jointly awarded the second runner-up position, each receiving a cash prize of RM1,000.

The tournament was organised by the Kuching Badminton Association with support from Stampin MP Chong Chieng Jen and the prizes were presented by Chong himself, alongside with KBA president Ong Kong Swee.

“The outcome of winning or losing comes second. What is important is the process; tournament like these provide a platform to compete and engage in a more competitive environment. This is what this event is about,” Chong said.
