BINTULU: Members of the public are advised to take note that Jalan Abang Galau will be closed from September 25 to 29 to make way for the Bintulu International Kite Festival (BIKF) 2024.
According to a press statement from the Bintulu Development Authority (BDA), the road closure will be carried out from 10 am to 6 pm to ensure the safety of visitors and the smooth running of the event.
Organisers appeal for the public’s cooperation to plan their travel itinerary and to use alternative routes during the five-day road closure period.
The public is invited to attend and witness various interesting activities lined-up throughout the five days of BIKF 2024 which will take place at Lasar Kenyalang, the site of the Bintulu’s Old Airport.
This annual event offers a variety of spectacular kite shows as well as exciting activities and workshops for the whole family.
Visitors have the opportunity to see unique kite designs from around the world, moreover the festival not only promotes local art and culture, but also encourages interaction between kite enthusiasts.
