SIBU: The road expansion work at Jalan Langsat commenced on Thursday (July 18) said Joseph Chieng Jin Ek.
The Bukit Assek assemblyman stated that the road expansion project will add an additional lane towards the roundabout and resurface both directions of the road with asphalt.
“The total length of the project is 140 metres, and the width is 10.7 metres,” he said in his Facebook post yesterday (July 19).
The project, with a total cost of RM188,648, is funded under the Bukit Assek constituency rural transformation project (RTP) grant.
Chieng added that the Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) is the implementing agency for the project.
“The road closure is expected to last for five days (July 18-23). We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this period. Thank you for your understanding,” he said.
