KAPIT: Kapit MP Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi and Bukit Goram assemblyman Jefferson Jamit Unyat recently paid a working visit to Rumah Empawi Anak Sawa, near Ulu Sungai Yong, Jalan Ulu Sungai Yong here.

One of the aims of their visit was to inspect the recently completed RM200,000 cement road from the junction of the Jalan Ulu Sungai Yong link to the longhouse.

In the evening, Nanta and Jamit attended a ‘Leaders and the People’ dialogue session held at the verandah of the longhouse.

Jamit told the press that the cement road was constructed under his Rural Transformation Project (RTP) fund.

He said the access road needed to be improved and upgraded because the longhouse folk had vehicles and many of them were working in Kapit.
