KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Abang Haji Openg yesterday received a courtesy call from Junior Chamber International (JCI) delegation led by its President Dawn Hetzel at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia, here.
The call was aimed at inviting the Chief Minister to attend and officiate at a dinner function ‘Sarawak Cultural Unity Night’ that was to be held last night at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching.
Johari was also briefed on JCI and International Summit On Peace 2017 which is held in Kuching for the first time and attended by 600 delegates from 102 countries.
Hetzel and delegates conveyed their thanks to the Chief Minister and the State government for cooperation and support given to the programme.
Also present were former JCI President Paschal Dike, former Executive Vice President Tshepo Thlaku, JCI Secretary General Arrey Obenson and representative of Swinburne University of Teknology Sarawak Campus Dr Ngui Kwang Sing.
